atceros, kā daudzi bija sajūsmā, kad DJ Lethālam ap pultīm koncertā bija liels Latvijas karogs (viņiem bija pirmais koncerts tūrē Rīgā.) Vēlāk gan izrādījās, ka Tallinā arī ir bijis Igaunijas karogs, utt :D
Wow! Par Metsatoļļiem nenormāls prieks! Tagad gandrīz gribās pašam aizbraukt uz W:OA, tik žēl, ka naudas nav pat lai līdz Rīgai tiktu (un tik drīz arī nebūs) :D
Tas jau nekas, ka viduvējība - pietiek ar to ka old skool & true. Neesmu īpaši kalusījies, lai Raven objektīvi vērtētu - bet Diamond Head, Blitzkrieg utml. arī uz True Metal Stage spēlēja.
pāris gabali ir labi; Bet izturēt vairāk par 20-30 minūtēm šamos nevaru ne ierakstā, ne dzīvajā; vislabākā uzstāsanās bija 2003. gada WOA, kad šie kā surpraiz gesti izskrēja un nokapāja 3 dziesmas un notinās :D.

Uh, šogad dikti gribētu tik, skatos, ka biļeteni drīz tiks izpārdoti, žēl ka nevar redzēt, cik vēl ir pārdošanā. Rūdītiem braucējiem gribēju apjautāties, ar kādu naudas daudzumu apmēram jārēķinās, + tam ka biļete šogad 130 ēriķi, tad vēl ļotenei un visam pārējam?
Ja nepaspēj uz iepriekšpārdošanas biļetēm, cik nopratu ir iespēja tās iegādāties jau koncerta dienu laikā uz vietas un par lētākām naudiņām?

Lidmasinas biletes lidz Hamburgai un atpakal pirms kada menesa maksaja ~120 LVL kopa ar visadam komisijam un nodokliem. Tagad, iespejams, ka jau dargak. Plus vel rekini kadus 40-50 EUR celam no lidostas lidz Wacken un atpakal.
Runajot par biletem - pirms festivala kasees bileti nopirkt nevar, bet festa nedeljaa tresdien pa visu ciematu pedejos gados blandas cilveki ar liekam biletem un pardod tas pa 70-120 EUR (atkariba no ta, ka paveiksies un ka sarunasi). Bet var ari nepaveikties, tapec labak tomer nopirkt to bileti laicigi, neka atvilkties lidz Wackenai un konstatet, ka Tev ir slikta karma. ;-)
Nu tur arī vajadzīgs ... kaurkadd als ar jāpadzer. Bet tā viss nav, ka labās bandas ir beigušās. Overkill nekad nav pa daudz, Astral Doors iepriekš nesanāca redzēts, bet Unleashed un Skanners ar labas bandas.
agrak (desmit gadu vecumā) arī daudz aktuālāk bija pateikt, ka "mans brālis atnāks no armijas un sados Tev pa muti", tagad diez vai tas īpaši raustītu.
The winners of this year’s Metal Battle Lithuania are certain now: SOUL STEALER. Founded in 2003, they had a few successes already. In 2005 they came second place in a Lithuanian competition called “Brodvėjus Star 2005” and in 2006 they came third place at “EuroRock 2006” which meant they were invited to play at a Polish festival. In 2008, the band released their self-titled debut album and the ones who watched the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 attentively should know these guys: they represented Lithuania. Be sure not to make a mistake watching these guys rocking on stage!
The most undervalued metalband of the 80’s seems to-re-born these days. A reason for this could be their latest movie called Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which appears in theaters last year. When Apollo Mission Astronaut Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, he not only gave his famous "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" statement but followed it by several remarks, usual com traffic between him, the other astronauts and Mission Control. Just before he re-entered the lander, however, he made the enigmatic remark "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky."
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet Cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs. Over the years many people questioned Armstrong as to what the "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky" statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.
On July 5, 1995 (in Tampa Bay, FL) while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26 year old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded. Mr. Gorsky had finally died and so Neil Armstrong felt he could answer the question.
When he was a kid, he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard. His friend hit a fly ball which landed in the front of his neighbor's bedroom windows. His neighbors were Mr. & Mrs. Gorsky.
As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky, "Oral sex! You want oral sex?! You'll get oral sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"

We were just informed that the Red Hot Chili Pipers from Scotland are confirmed for this years Wacken Open Air. Traditional folk-music with bag-pipes, guitars and a little bit of keyboard will make sure a good mood and the opportunity for a chummy party. The band could proof their skills on BBC 1 and on some big other festivals. On top of that you can hear the bag-pipe-guy on the official Harry Potter Soundtrack.
BTW, baigi labi ka bandas TYR, Equilibrium, Svartsot ir ieliktas iekš medieval stage. medieval atmosfēra un vikingu ciemata tuvums dos baigo perienu klausoties šo priekšnesumus...

Their amazing show combines horror and skills, demons and beauties, artists and burlesque and everything that’s creepy, strange and amazing. With voodoo acrobats, bendy bodies, demon dwarfs and flying vampires performing strange circus acts and blood curdling stunts, this amazing show has to be seen to be believed.

We are happy to announce the Metal Battle winners of Iceland: the prog metalheads of WISTARIA will rock the W.E.T. Stage in Wacken! Founded in 2007, the five guys will announce their debut album this year and are known for their massive wall of distorted guitars, deep surge of screams, melodic and emotional solos, high-tempo double bass and blastbeats. They have also supported The Black Dahlia Murder and Dutch Death Metal legend Pestilence. So look forward to experience a new kind of show with these Icelandic guys at Wacken.

TOTAL RIOT, playing a mix of Jungle and Metal, was founded in 2004 in Athens, Greece. They share their vibes and inspiration in every live performance so catch them up on their Wacken live gig! VITA IMANA, also offering a special kind of metal with their blend of Tribal and Groove Metal, have released their first album in 2005. We finally got the Metal Battle Winner from Poland and the Netherlands: THE SIXPOUNDER from Lower Silesia, PL and the Dutch metalheads SEVEN ENDS will enter the W.E.T. stage to rock you into the ground! The five guys of THE SIXPOUNDER describe themselves as influenced by Rock’n’Roll and plays a mix of Alternative and Metal. Founded in 2006 that band will surely surprise you. SEVEN ENDS, , formed of Black List and Anger Alliance, was founded in 2007/2008 and “the main goal since the beginning was playing straight[…] modern thrash metal with some death metal influences”. So this also sounds interesting. Don’t miss!
The winners of the Brazilian and Portuguese Metal Battle are confirmed: PRAYERS OF SANITY from Lagos (P) and CANGAÇO from Recife (BR) have won the respective Metal Battle. Founded in 2008, PRAYERS OF SANITY are playing good ol’ Thrash Metal but with modern influences. They are “not just another Thrash band” and played gigs with e.g. Municipal Waste or Gama Bomb. CANGAÇO embrace a mix of Death Metal and Folk to get their unique metal sound. Another good aspect is that they feel certain that cultural and regional differences are the last thing to care about. Look forward to some Latin touched metal at the W.E.T. stage this year!

"Many of you might have a Vuvuzela , suitable for the World Championship in South Africa. Vuvuzelas officially have a sound level of 135 Decibel, which is 10 dB louder than a starting jet plane so we have decided to bann them completely from the festival.
To avoid that the live performances of the artists will be disturbed by the nerve strucking trumpet noises, our security will check the whole audience at the entrance to the festival area. If someone doesn´t abide to this rule, the security is advised to take theses instruments away.
Please also take care at the camping area and do not disturb your neighbours. They will thank you for this...
There is no limitation for drinks on the campground but the ban to bring glass bottles. The risk to get hurt is too high (cullet)! Neither cans nor bottles are allowed at the festival area (infield). At the infield, you are able to get your beer as usual in the familiar festival cups and of course there will be the chance to get your Wacken Beer in cans externally.

Bļā ... visus gadus nebija nekādu problēmu, ka fricis nomet pudžu, uzkāpj ar keriņu uz saplēš ... a tagad jāatvadās no brīnišķīgās tradīcijas, sēdēt pie telts uz aluskastes un tukšot bairīšus ... atliks pirkt sangrias plasmasenēs un vinārus sulupakās :(
ALu vismaz var dabūt skārdenēs un plastmasenēs. A 40%os dzērienus kaut kā negribās liet iekšā plastmasas traukā... Un lielas blašķes arī man nav.... :(
