NEGLIGENT COLLATERAL COLLAPSE

teksti vnk psc!

Cyborg 1.0 freedom fighter from the 22nd century

I was born human.

But this was an accident of fate

- a condition merely

of time and place.

I believe

it's something

we have the power

to change.

I will tell you why.
Silicon chip ∑c | Pr[adv(M0, r) = c] - Pr[adv(M1, r) = c] | ≤ 2ε

A silicon chip

was implanted in my arm,

allowing a computer

computer to monitor me.

My implant communicates

via radio waves

with a network

of antennas

throughout the department

that in turn transmitted

the signals to a computer

programmed to respond

to my actions.

At the main entrance,

a voice box operated

by the computer said

"Hello"

when I entered;

the computer detected

my progress through

the building,

opening the door

to my lab for me

as I approached it

and switching on the lights.
Choose to sysadmin! Choose a f***ing big computer!

Choose no life!

Choose no career!

Choose no family!

Choose a f***ing big computer!

Chose no sleep,

high caffeine

and mental insurance!

Choose no friends!

Choose your future!

Choose to sysadmin!
No remorse (wrought havoc)

It can't be bargained with.

It can't be reasoned with.

It doesn't feel pity,

or remorse,

or fear.

auth(M; a; b; c) := aM 2 + bM + c

And it absolutely WILL NOT STOP!
Attention all operatives!

To cope with a barrage

of Cyborg 1.0 activity,

I have implemented

an automated Sighting Report Form

to assist you in your monitoring.

It's extremely simple at this stage,

but we all know

0 ≤ k < n ≤ 3k + 1

the risks of giving

our silicon "friends"

too great a degree of autonomy...
Greetings, flesh-forms!

I am Kevin W of Reading University,

cyborg freedom fighter from the 22nd century.

My era is very different to yours -

civilisation has been destroyed

and humanity almost wiped out

in the long wars against the giant,

battery powered "robot football team",

and a sinister,

0 < |{i : ui ≠ vi; 1 ≤ i ≤ n}| ≤ k 0,

skeletal "electric cat".

But some fragments of our ancient history remain,

passed down from one cybernetically enhanced forearm to another

- and, in those records,

one name stands out above all others.

Technology Spells Doom For Popular Relationship-Maintaining Deception - Microchip hailed as 'end of the faked orgasm'

Kevin and his wife Irena

use their microchip implants

to share each other's pain,

movement

and even

sexual excitement.

'Will my brain be able to cope?

The biggst risk is that

I could go crazy.'
Plugs book: No.

Undermines prediction with own examples: No.

Mentions wife: Yes.
- OPERATIVE ROGER THE ROBOT comments:

Kevin predicts that this microchip

could even see the faked orgasm

banished from the bedroom.

I was shocked

that he did not point out

how this will lead to

mass marital breakdown,

civil strife

and the ultimate demise

of fleshforms...

it is only a matter of time, my friends...
Back and forth between my nervous system and a computer (Infected machines attempt to spread the infection)

Eighteen months from now,

I will conduct a experiment

with a new implant

that will send signals

back and forth between

my nervous system

and a computer.

I don't know

how I will react to

unfamiliar signals

∑c | Pr[adv(M0, r) = c] - Pr[adv(M1, r) = c] | ≤ 2ε

transmitted to my brain,

since nothing quite

like this has ever before

been attempted.

But if this test succeeds,

with no complications,

then we'll go ahead

with the placement of

a similar implant

in my wife,

Irena.

A lot of these signals

are traveling here at any given time:

This nerve center carries

more information

than any other part of the anatomy,

aside from the spine

and the head.

Moreover, very few of the nerves

branch off to muscles

and other parts of the upper arm -

it's like a freeway

with only a few on-

and off-ramps,

providing a cleaner pathway

to the nervous system.

While we ultimately may need

to place implants

nearer to the brain

- into the spinal cord or

onto the optic nerve,

where there is a more powerful setup

for transmitting

and receiving

specific complex sensory signals -

the arm is an ideal halfway point.

Kevin Defends "Maverick" Reputation

Prof KW last night dismissed the criticisms of him as "tosh".

He said: "It's disappointing really.

Certainly in at least one case they haven't read some

of the articles that are central,

that would give them more of an understanding of

where my research is coming from.

I have been a professor for 12 years.

The academic world does respect me.

I wouldn't use the term maverick."
Plugs books: In passing (describing some of their claims as "absolute nonsense").

Predicts imminent enslavery of mankind: Only indirectly .

Undermines prediction with own examples: No.

Mentions wife: No.
- OPERATIVE ROGER THE ROBOT comments:

They may mock Kevin.

They may deride him as a 'buffoon',

a 'joke'

and a 'media tart'.

and other great visionaries

- and who had the last laugh then, eh?
Science Fiction may "fast become Science Fact"

OPERATIVE MANAR alerted us to

Kevin's imminent appearance

at the aptly titled Cyber Futures event,

part of some Arts vs Sciences debate

"[We live in] a society

where science-fiction

may fast become science-fact,"

burbles the publicity material,

unhelpfully.
Glass capsule (the security vulnerability CVE-2000-0169)

This implant, will be encased in a glass tube.

There is an outside chance

that the glass will break,

which could cause serious internal injuries

s A є RF, (a A ; b A ); (a B ; b B ) є RF 2

or prove fatal.

One end of the 1-inch-long glass tube

contains the power supply

- a copper coil energized by

radio waves to produce

an electric current.

In the other end,

three mini printed circuit boards

will transmit

and receive

signals.

The implant will connect

to my body through a band

that wraps around the nerve fibers -

it looks like a little vicar's collar -

and is linked by a very

thin wire to the glass capsule.

GET /ows-bin/*.bat?&\attacker...

The chips in the implant

will receive signals

from the collar

and send them to a computer.

CVE-2000-0169

an electronic signal travels

from my brain to activate

the muscles and tendons

that operate my hand. ...
