Hmm, nemaz nepamanīju sarakstā, ātri pārbraucot ar acēm pāri. Stāv prātā, ka bija visnotaļ labs spārdeklis.

Var jau teikt, ka nav īsti metāls, bet tomēr.
Paul Gilbert - The Dio Album
Pirmais singls jau ir ārā - Holy Diver. Ideja šoreiz tāda, ka visi vokāli ir pārlikti kā ģitāras partijas. Nedaudz creepy, bet tomēr intriģējoši.

^ Kā ta nav metāls, Black Sabbath un Dio tak ir trū heavy metāls; ja nu vienīgi par Rainbow vēl var brīzīem pastrīdēties. Kamēr apdare ir ieturēta žanra rāmjos, nekas cits jau tur nevar sanākt.

Jāteic, diezgan ambiciozs mērķis, jo vokālam (labam) ir daudz visādu nianšu tembrā, frāzējumā utt., ko pārnest uz instrumentu ir ļoti grūti, ja ne pat dažos gadījumos neiespējami. Tomēr Gilberts ir gana augstas raudzes ģitārists, lai varētu ko tādu mēģināt, un, pēc Holy Diver spriežot, sanāk tīri labi.

Neteiktu, ka tie jūtami atšķiras manām ausīm, bet citi to spēj saklausīt šajā progresīvi/tehniskajā Black/Death Metālā. Nekas ļoti oriģināls nav, klausoties kā puzles gabaliņus var savākt visādus jau iepriekš diskogrāfijā dzirdētus momentus, bet vienalga – diezgan patīkams klausāmais. Grupā tagad oficiāli deklarēti Charles Hedger (Mayhem) un Nicholas Barker (lai viņam laba veselība...).

^^ jā, par Shining var piekrist, ka skan kā popūrijs no jau dzirdētām tēmām. To vēl apstiprina tas, ka divi no gabaliem jau iznāca iepriekš un attiecīgi tagad vairs nevar saprast, vai skan kā dzirdēti, tāpēc, ka ir dzirdēti, vai tāpēc, ka skan līdzīgi vecākiem klučiem.

My Lament pēc 14 gadu pauzes iznācis jauns albums. Klasisks deviņdesmito - divtūkstošo gadu doom, bez visādiem ciku caku. Man patika.
